Grass is always green on the other side

” As a rule man is a fool, When it’s hot he wants it cool, When it’s cool he wants it hot, Always wanting what is not. ” – Mona Ma’am

Whenever we used to grumble about not having better things our teacher used to quote this. We keep on complaining about the things we don’t have or the things we want to have, we never thank God for the things He gave us already.
We are running a race, where all the winners and losers have the same prize – “to be merged in the sand”. Then why do we put others down? Why can’t we be happy in someone else’s win. Why can’t we be happy for some body else. Its because we have insecurities inside us, which we are unable to deal with. We cannot satisfy ourselves. We always want what the other person have.
In a private company, people compete with each other because there annual appraisal or promotion is dependent on that. But, what about a government organisation, they have regular appraisals, regular promotions irrespective of their performance, then why do they put each other down? There is no harmony at work place. There is no place where you can live peacefully. Even in families, one brother is putting the other down, for what? Status in a society, which will just become a spectator in a family calamity.
We have forgotten how to live happily with each other.
